It’s that time of the year again when our engineers Ben White and Josh Giumelli take a load of new phones and antennas out to their test track in remote New South Wales to test reception strength. This time round we saw some improvements from favourite phones, plus a few disappointing results as well.
Catching some waves: Kondinin Group engineer Ben White tests a phone by holding it in the air facing the phone tower out on the Hay plains north of Oxley, NSW. On the whole, the cheapest blue tick handsets had the better reception sensitivity.
