As on farm grain production has become subject to economies of scale in recent years, so has grain storage and logistics. The grain handling chain is trying to keep pace with Class 8,9 and 10 harvesters, and this has given rise to larger and larger chaser bins, mother bins and field bins in an effort to keep the large capacity harvesters running. For the purposes of this Research Report, Kondinin Group’s research team of Mark Saunders, Josh Giumelli and Ben White has inspected mother bins and field bins that are most popular in our membership.
