Farm labour, whether in the form of temporary, casual, contract or permanent staff, is an essential part of agriculture. This Research Report provides insights to help better source and manage one of the farm’s most valuable assets – its people. Kondinin Group researchers Mark Saunders and Ben White have compiled this report with assistance from Sally Murfet, Inspire Ag, and Danielle Lannin England, AgInnovate, who are both experienced farm consultants who specialise in building and supporting farm teams nationally. Danielle recently shared her expertise in a Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) Farm Business Update webinar, titled “Are You a Good Labour Manager? – Realising the Full Capacity of Your Team.” This presentation was based on a national AgriFutures project, “Best Practice People Management (PRO-018146),” of which Sally and Danielle are on the project team.

 Includes the following articles:

  • Agriculture would not happen without farm labour
